Well, that’s right, we survived by God’s grace. This was a challenging year with the inconcsistent, inflated, and censored information coming from all the media sources. We thank the Lord that the one constant source of truth that can be trusted has been preserved by God’s promise to this generation, and can be held in our hands! That’s right! The old KJB!
Joh 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
The book teaches that this world is over with, only at the “Day of the Lord”, and therefore we still have work to do. Since we are called “light” and “salt” we have a job to continue to interact with people for the sake of their eternal soul, regardless of what the CDC, WHO, CNN, or whoever is in control of governmental power says.
Life goes on per usual here at Payson First Baptist Church. We are excited about this year’s coming fellowship meetings. Feb 25th-28th, 2021, will be our 26th meeting. We have several great preachers coming, and I hope that the Spirit of God will fill them with power and give us a message from heaven! Pastors Jason Burton, Bobby Johston, Dan Zike, Joel Tillis, Scott Pahlman and Jon Kuefler will be preaching for us. Food, Fellowship, Teaching, Preaching, and loads of fun! (Wait a minute, Baptists are not allowed to have fun. Ha!) The theme for our meetings will come from Joh_8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. I want to focus on the words, “free indeed”, because the loss of liberty seems to be on everyone’s minds these days. Historically, Baptists have believed strongly in the principles of Soul Liberty because the scriptures guarantee it. (Hence the reason why there are so many different baptists out there. Because we can lol) My point being, no matter what freedoms the government justifys in taking away from it’s people, we are still free because of the blood of Christ!
Well there is the news for now. Hope to see you all in a church service sometime, otherwise we will see you in Heaven, that is, if you know my blessed Saviour.
